NFT Kids Art Projects

There are now a range of institutions that have increasingly sought to promote new kids NFT art projects around the world. They tend to vary in the extent of their online offerings. For instance, ‘NFT Kids Art’ is a small collection of NFTs that has been made by kids for ‘NFTsAfrica’, and also other organisations. It can be viewed on the ‘OpenSea’ NFT marketplace. NFTsAfrica is an organisation that promotes the minting of NFTs by a community that focuses on African decentralised applications.

The ‘Kids Art Collective’, or KAC, is promoted as “the first kids-led collaborative generative art project, in which the PFPs were all designed and created by kids” (KAC 2022). The term ‘PFPs’ refers to profile picture (e.g., social media profile picture), and the KAC project features 19 NFT kids from 8 countries that have all designed their own NFT PFPs. What is really great about the KAC, is the fact that it highlights how online communities for kids can help children all around the world to collaborate, learn, and create together in a safe environment. You can view some of the NFT kids artist profiles on Twitter, such as ‘AmazingDevya’, ‘BigDeebook’, ‘dorian.theartist’, and ‘RainbowMosho’.

The ‘Kid Art Projects’, or KAP, is a website that focuses on preserving and promoting children’s art projects as NFTs. It is run by the Carrillo-McCabe family, and the way it works is that artworks created by the three children in the family (Eric (3 years old), Jolynn (8 years old), Alexa (15 years old)), are minted as NFTs on the Ethereum, Polygon, and Tezos blockchains and sold via the website. A portion of the sale proceeds from the sale of these kids NFTs is then used to buy and display NFT art from kids around the world. There are two collections that can be viewed on OpenSea, these are ‘KidArtProjects’ and ‘KidArtProjects_2’, and one collection that can be viewed on Tezos (teia) ‘KidArtProjects’. The art collected by KAP represents a highly diverse range of NFT kids art (see above and below).

What is really great about KAP, is the way that the project helps to promote both NFT kids art from around the world, and the artwork of the kids of the Carillo-McCabe Family. This can not only help the kids to continue on with developing their artistic creativity and NFT artworks, but it can also help to continually showcase the artistic and creative talents of more and more NFT kid artists. In turn, it is hoped that this can help to empower kids from all around the world, and can also help to contribute to, and develop, a burgeoning global market for NFT kids art.

No artist in the world can surpass the imagination of children but what if the artist actually are kids.
