Kids NFTs and the Future of Digital Art

Digital art has been around for a long time. In fact, it’s amazing to think that Adobe Photoshop 1.0 was officially released back in February 1990. Nevertheless, it has taken a long time to become mainstream because the underlying internet infrastructure was still evolving throughout the 1990s and the 2000s. In addition to the required internet infrastructure, online digital art communities also took some time to become established. For instance, the social networking service ‘Pinterest’ was actually founded in March 2010.

The creative digital art social media platform ‘Behance’, dates back to November 2005, when it was founded by Matias Corea and Scott Belsky. The advent of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) from 2017 onwards, has highlighted the proliferation of digital art online. Indeed, it would seem that many creative designers and digital artists have now found a new way to showcase their artistic talents and abilities online and monetize their digital artwork in the process. As a result, this current decade (2020–2030) is very likely to witness a huge expansion of digital art and digital NFT artwork all around the world.

This is likely to be facilitated by the evolution and expansion of new Web 3.0, the Metaverse, virtual worlds, online gaming, and online NFT platform technologies. At the same time, it is highly likely that more and more NFT child artists will emerge, there will be more and more kids NFT art projects that arise, and the kids NFT artwork market is likely to rapidly expand and then stabilise and mature over time. This means that not only will kids NFT artworks become more valuable, but the kids NFT art valuation process itself will become more identifiable and transparent.

In short, it will become easier to identify and differentiate potentially valuable kids NFT artworks (as there will be more prior kids NFT artwork examples and artists to draw upon and compare against). Consequently, this current decade is likely to prove to be a very exciting time in which kids NFT artworks become more visible, more interesting, and more creative in nature. We are also very likely to witness a significant increase in the number of online creative NFT art projects that kids can both access and participate in. At the same time, these developments will be bolstered by kids increasingly accessing and participating in social media activities.

Kids will become much more adept at using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter, and will become more and more like true digital natives. This will invariably lead to increased cross-over promotion of kids NFT artworks.
